The Bethany Children’s Trust 10:10 Prayer Campaign
Dear Friend,
As Director of The Bethany Children’s Trust (BCT), it is my pleasure to announce the launch of the 10:10 Prayer Campaign and welcome you in becoming part of it.
What is the 10:10 Prayer Campaign?
The Bethany Children’s Trust (www.bethanychildrenstrust.org.uk) has initiated the 10:10 Prayer Campaign as a response to the worldwide phenomenon of children who are abused, abandoned and sometimes killed because they are perceived to be ‘child witches’. Thousands of children globally are suffering in this way at the hands of family, church and community members.
The 10:10 Prayer Campaign is a call for Christians everywhere to pray for an end to the abuse and suffering of these children and for them to be restored to their true identity. The name of the campaign comes from the Bible verse, John 10:10, where Jesus says, ‘The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.’
The lives of these children are being robbed. We believe that Christ wants to use his Church to bring them life in all its fullness.
What you can do
Please find attached the 10:10 Prayer Guide that contains information, facts and guidelines to help inform your prayers and understanding. I encourage you to forward this resource and to share it with others in your church, denomination, organisation or network.
The 10:10 Prayer Campaign will run in the first instance for one year. This 10:10 Prayer Guide will be followed by bi-monthly 10:10 Prayer Updates. The 10:10 Prayer Campaign is the beginning of a longer-term 10:10 Campaign that will mobilise prayer, advocacy and collaborative action.
Thank you for joining us.
